mothering around the world
Is that a Kingfisher of some sort? Beautiful….
Yes, it looks like some kind of kingfisher, not sure what species.
Questions, questions, questions. Hi Sabrina, welcome back. About the picture–who is holding the little fellow or fellowess? The hand looks too mature to be your daughter’s, all the lines, etc. Is it in a zoo, a vet’s office, your homestead, in a public place? Is there something physically wrong wrong with it? Did it fall out of a nest, a tree, abandoned? You know what they say, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Maybe in left the bush of Kampala?
So much to wonder about, a little mystery. What have you been doing since you last posted? Miss your writings and photographic postings. Hope all is well with you and your family. Take care.
Popcorn….it should be named popcorn. It looks like a half-popped, half-burned popcorn kernal. Miss your beautiful posts. Love seeing colorful birds..never get to see such beautiful birds here. Ah but I DO have a tiny red bird who seems to be living in my backyard, just one.

It has been a while since you blogged any. Maybe you’re not doing that any more but when you do, you write well. So hoping if you have time and something on your heart you will express it. But if you are doing what you know is best for you and yours then will be happy for you and will ask no more.
Ditto to McDonald. Maybe you are so busy raising two children this blog takes a back seat. Maybe you are on hiatus for whatever reason. It is your blog, for Pete’s sake, so you are certainly entitled to do with it what you want. But so many of your loyal followers enjoy your multi-talented posts, you are surely missed. You are definitely following responses because the other week you responded to one. Whatever the case, we all wish you only the best and look forward to someday when you might revisit us. Be well to you and your family. Seymour Schwartz
Are you no longer blogging?
Yes. She cancelled the site where this blog is on. We have no way of knowing what happened. She evidently moved on with her life and we can only hope she is alright and happy.
